Little Free Libraries
From Educators to Innovators (FETI) is bringing the joy of reading to every corner of Bayonne through our Little Free Libraries initiative. These community book exchanges promote literacy, foster a love of reading, and build community connections.
About the Initiative
Little Free Libraries are small, weatherproof book-sharing boxes where anyone can take a book or share a book. They function on the honor system and are accessible 24/7, making books available to everyone in the community regardless of time constraints or economic barriers.
Our goal is to establish a network of Little Free Libraries throughout Bayonne, focusing on neighborhoods where access to books and reading materials may be limited. Each library is maintained by dedicated volunteers who ensure the collections remain diverse, appropriate, and in good condition.
By bringing books into neighborhoods and public spaces, we aim to:
- Promote literacy and a love of reading among children and adults
- Build community and foster neighborhood connections
- Expand access to diverse and inclusive reading materials
- Encourage book recycling and sharing
- Create opportunities for community engagement and volunteerism

16th Street Park Library
Located near the playground, this library focuses on children's books and young adult literature.
Dennis Collins Park Library
A diverse collection of fiction and non-fiction books for readers of all ages.
Bayonne Community Museum Library
Specializing in local history and educational materials about Bayonne.
Stephen R. Gregg Park Library
A collection of popular fiction, cookbooks, and gardening guides.

Support Our Little Free Libraries
Your donations help us build, maintain, and stock Little Free Libraries throughout Bayonne. Each library costs approximately $500 to build, install, and initially stock with books. Help us bring the joy of reading to every neighborhood in our community.
